Romantic Floral Fairytale Styled Shoot

This shoot was something that I will always remember, nothing beats working with "frendors" that are so like-minded that you quickly become friends! When Brittany from Brittany Bradley Studio, reached out to me about her amazing styled shoot vision, I just couldn't resist working with her! I am so glad we connected via Instagram as Columbus is an area I have been hoping to tap into for awhile.

What is a "Styled Shoot"?!

A lot of people ask me this question, so before moving forward to the details of this shoot, I would like to recap what a Styled Shoot in the wedding industry is. Styled Shoots are coordinated shoots in which whoever is planning the shoot will gather like-minded vendors to include their own creative take on the event's overall design. The vendors who choose to partake in this shoot "donate" their service or good(s) for free so that they, in exchange, can have marketing materials that speak to the type of client they are trying to appeal to- or in my case, often just to gather a new perspective on design that fits an uncommon theme. Often this leads to connections in the industry that help you to make "frendors" for life!

Okay now back to the details....

Once Brittany introduced me to the space, other vendors & style there was no way I was going to miss out on this gorgeous Floral Fairytale! This Styled Shoot was hosted at the Barn at Cliffside Acres in Springfield, Ohio ( if you haven't looked at their space- you need to! It's soooo gorgeous!). Working with Brittany to capture her design ideas was so much fun & I am sooo happy with the way this shoot furthered my 2021 growth. From this shoot, I finally got to experiment with hand-foiling edges, which in turn taught me a new trade on invites & booked me multiple clients in 2021/2022!- I call that an amazing ROI- follow below for more details!

The "Ceremony": This ceremony backdrop was one to be noted- Genevieve from Blumen Florals designed & executed the most fun little floral book installment I have ever seen- hollowing out books to make room for flowers- this girl is DEDICATED. And it turned out AMAZING! With the feather textures & cascading books- who wouldn't want to have this for a ceremony backdrop?!

The dress: So obviously we have to touch on the DRESS with all of it's amazing puffy glory- this dress is such a dream. I love a lot of different dress styles but for a fairytale inspired shoot, you can't go wrong with big, fluffy & textured. Brittany was amazing at picking out all of the details to tie them together for this shoot theme.

Let's talk paper: This flatlay is one of my favorites to date. If you want to check out my favs from 2021- click here. This floral fairytale had an "old world" feel with a twist on the modern wedding. Because of the fairytale vibes I thought handmade paper would feel really in line with the design of this shoot. I also really wanted to try my hand at hand-foiling invites to GLAM up the old-world inspo. I also included a custom venue illustration as that has started to climb the stationery trends & It felt in line with the rest of the design. With soft almost opaque, pastel floral pattern & soft gray fonts, this suite popped on our antique mirror backdrop with hints of floral & soft pastel tones.... what do you think?

The Tablescape design: Brittany was very detailed with her table design setup- and I would come sit at this table ANY time. With pastel notes from the napkins, to the cloth runner, pink rose coupes, & pastel tapered candles we just couldn't help but to swoon at this whole design. The "old-world" inspired vase centerpiece just tied the whole shoot together in my opinion. (Peep that "It was always you" canvas I got to create for the backdrop- LOVE)

The Details: I wanted the menu to match the mood so we created a pastel lavender menu with hand-foiled gold edges & custom "scroll" inspired place cards to contrast all of the amazing little table details with lots of floral & books AH, still not over how pretty this all turned out.

Stunning right?! I am 1000% into this dreamy vibe. Can't wait for the next shoot with these amazing vendors.
