With the right vendors, often styled shoots become magic.
Styled shoots are one of my favorite days, It's the day vendors can play with inspiration and feel creative freedom.
What is a styled shoot, and why do Wedding Professionals do this?
Styled shoots are a collection of like-minded vendors who collaborate on a wedding theme or idea together. It's essentially a mini wedding to showcase each vendors strength. Each vendor involved donates their work to the shoot in order to gain photos from a professional level to showcase their talents. Professionals engage in styled shoots to network with like- minded vendors, and push their talents to the next level.
So often in this industry, us professionals, are catering to our clients design or theme ideas and we aren't truly able to carry out a design in the way we want due to our clients wants and needs- which is why they hire us. So in order to really have fun and play around with our talents we get together and create our own magic.
This Whimsical shoot turned out to be just beyond imagination. I remember the day Erica from Elite Events called me up and told me about this shoot. She was so excited after meeting with Whimsy and Blue. She mentioned they had ideas to play with their blue velvet couch, classic white piano, and farmhouse tables, and that most importantly, this was to be an outdoor styled shoot in the middle of Schedel Gardens.
Right away, I knew this shoot would be something so magical and fun to be involved in! The theme was right up my alley too. I was so happy to test out my circular menus and light and airy invite design inspiration, as well as, try out something I had been thinking about for awhile... flower- pressed wax sealed escort cards!
I love the hustle and fun all of us vendors have during styled shoot day! Unfortunately, I had another event the date of our shoot but, Erica made sure to catch me up to speed with all of the details of the day- especially having to out run the rain! Luckily, they pushed the shoot back and the sun came out for these perfect photos! Amy Simkus Photography got some of the most gorgeous shots of my stationery and all of the vendors truly supplied some of the most magical, whimsical, wedding inspo I've ever seen!
