Soft & Romantic Wedding Invitations

I'm currently OBSESSING over the soft and romantic wedding invitation trend. I swoon over any of the elegant and soft botanical designs, and these do not disappoint!

Why is this a trend? Well, couples all over the world are leaning towards an effortless wedding vibe with notes of classic design. This trend has captured my heart because it's so soft on the color palettes, with script fonts and soft font tones the feel of each suite piece makes the suite feel authentic and personal.

Here are 10 Soft & Romantic wedding invite trends I am currently LOVING.

1. Simple and Clean.

This soft paper trend is noteworthy. Although the design of this suite is minimal, the script & romantic fonts pair oh so gently with the raw edge handmade paper. I especially love the hints of natural hand died ribbon to tie the piece together. Simple, effortless, yet still stunning. It truly sets the romantic tone for your wedding day.

2. Soft Botanical design with natural colored paper.

This soft design is gorgeous on that handmade paper and use of blue toned fonts. I love the idea of mixing paper colors into your suite and this one is the perfect example of natural tones mixed with most prominent color of your wedding palette. Hand dyed twine is the perfect accompaniment to this suite with a unique wax seal to tie it together.

3. Subtle botanic with pops of color.

This is one of my own designs, so of course, I love it. However this is a great example of soft design with mixed color. This invite uses tan natural tones of the butterfly throughout for font color, botanic wreath design and the envelope. Instead of pairing with a digital designed butterfly, I used watercolor hand drawn butterflies to add the softness to the rest of the design which really tones the mood of that white paper down while cutting costs on the handmade paper.

4. Monogram Design.

The classic feel of adding a custom monogram to your invite allows you to brand your wedding day while also keeping your invite design clean, crisp and soft. I love the use of grey font color here, it allows the suite to remain soft and romantic without adding too much to the design of things. This monogram trend is on the rise and very popular at the moment, I am currently seeing it everywhere!

5. Pretty in Blush Pink.

Blush is one of the most popular wedding colors. I love how soft blush can be on an invite suite, and this suite does not disappoint with its blush fonts, floral touches and handmade paper it's certainly a pretty in pink party. Not to mention the use of velvet ribbon throughout to add an extra drama to the tone of the suite.

6. Modern Soft Design

This is one of my own designs I created recently for a client, I just love the use of save the dates in this way, although engagement photos are still the most popular use of a save the date, many couples are leaning towards a great design instead. Grey and dusty rose combine on this white invitation to really make it pop, still creating a fridge worthy design.

7. Mixed Pastels

Surprisingly, pastels can create a soft romantic feel too. I'm seeing this trend more and more especially for spring wedding invitations. I love the use of mix and match pastel paper for your details, rsvp, invite and envelope cards. How fun and colorful yet soft and elegant is this?! Not to mention utilizing that soft pink wax seal!

8. Rustic Soft Romance

Rustic design can become soft too, especially when watercolor botanical and watercolor backgrounds are concerned. How sweet is this neutral font and calligraphy paired with natural watercolor and some nude botanic pieces. I also love the size on this invite, 5 X 5 invites can be really unique and create a different tone for your wedding day, as well as create a different height to your full suite design.

9. Watercolor and Baby blues

Here is another one of my own designs. I love the whimsical soft blues in this suite with the raw edge paper. Blue can seem like a bold color but when used in a soft watercolor and airy way, can really soften your event. This to me is the easiest way to incorporate your wedding colors so all guests know the theme even before your special day. If you love the soft wedding invite trend but think your colors are too bright, there are so many options to soften the tone, so contact a professional for tips and you'll have your perfect invite in no time.

10. Gold Foiling

Gold foiling can also be very soft and romantic when used in the right way. This invite design is perfect for showcasing the mix between watercolor and gold foiled splatters. This not only adds a unique touch to your invite design but also really romanticizes the watercolor design on your invitation. It draws the guest into your event by creating that elegance and mystery of your day!

So now you can see why I'm so in love with the soft wedding invite trend. It's just so pretty, it instantly makes guest feel special and really sets the tone that your wedding day will be filled with elegance. Invites should always match the way you want your wedding day to feel, and I am happy to help you pinpoint the exact invite style your wedding day needs.

Until next time,

XOXO
