Amy & Jason's Fairytale Wedding

When Amy came to us at Elite Events, she mentioned one word to describe her wedding vision, woodland "fairytale". Amy was determined to get her happily ever after, and our team of vendors did not disappoint.

Amy and Jason were an absolute dream to work with, with their beautiful love story and merging family, we just knew this wedding had to be special. In order to achieve this woodland fairytale wedding, Amy & Jason wanted to have their love story align with their new home and land they recently bought. Their new home sat upon acres of land full of natural trees and lots of greenery, the perfect spot for the woodland theme they wanted to incorporate. To honor their newly purchased land they made space in their forested property for their wedding reception and the space could not have been any better for all of the fun things we had in mind.

Once the trees were bulldozed and grass took root, a fairy tale dream started to emerge. Erica from Elite Events has such an eye for unique event ideas, and this particular show stopper, everyone was swooning over. We added a suspended fairy tale cake and a mini cake wall to the outdoor space, as well as starry fairy lights throughout. You won't want to miss this gorgeous gallery courtesy of Rachel Shomsky Photography.

Let's start with the Ceremony details.

Guests were to arrive just over the property's bridge to welcome them with a gorgeous floral woodland door built by Magers Design and adorned by flowers from Lily's. This door was beyond stunning and truly set the tone for the woodland fairytale wedding theme. As guests entered they were prompted to take their seats for the ceremony to begin.

Amy & Jason knew that they wanted their ceremony to be right next to their quaint little creek on the property, this was such a gorgeous spot. It was a perfect summer day, full of sunshine and love. The focal point for this ceremony was their custom moon arch they had built and installed to permanently stay on their property. This arch was made out of metal and custom engraved with a special quote and all of the merging family's names. As if this wasn't enough, they also had stunning flower's by Lily's installed to line the arch. WE. WERE. IN. LOVE.

After guests witnessed Amy & Jason merge their two families and become the Millers, cocktail hour began. Guests were then released into the middle section of the lawn where cocktail hour would be held, complete with lounge furniture, corn hole, a bouncy house, passed appetizers and an open bar, guests were asked to enjoy themselves and mingle in the woodland fairy tale wonderland.

Once guests were finished mingling over cocktails, dinner hour began. Guests found their way to the tables using my special designed seating chart complete with custom wax seals. Our fairytale reception was held under a gorgeous lined tent, complete with draping, fairy lights and chandeliers, as well as three different table linen designs to let the eye dance throughout. For dinner, Amy & Jason opted for a buffet style meal with multiple buffet stations, so I designed some custom menu cards to help guide guests to the correct stations. This helped guests to move throughout the dinner stations in a efficient and timely manner. Toasts were made, and plenty of love was shared.

The celebration ended with lots of dancing, dessert, and for extra fun, Amy & Jason ordered a custom ice sculpture that chilled shots as they went down the center. This was all aglow by the fairy tale lighting and DJ DC Production lights to allow guests to really experience everything Amy & Jason wanted for their big day. The custom cake wall with suspended cake by Magers was so stunning lit up at night, not to mention how adorable the mini cakes by Enchanted Oven were (and yes each guest had their own mini cake!). They also offered guests a PM snack from Bigalora's pizza & gelato truck. It was just such an amazing night for celebrating love!

The details throughout this perfect day were just simply gorgeous, Amy & Jason truly were such a pleasure to work with and this wedding was the perfect vision of a woodland Fairytale.
